Background
Mary Boyce Wells joined the firm in 2009 after working as a solo practitioner in administrative and health law. Her practice at Young Moore and Henderson is concentrated in the areas of medical malpractice defense litigation, health law and administrative law. Prior to joining the firm, Mary worked as a staff attorney for the North Carolina Medical Board, where she authored the board’s disciplinary guidelines.
From 1993 to 2002, Mary was a partner in the firm of Cheshire, Parker, Schneider, Wells and Bryan, where she concentrated in criminal defense litigation in District and Superior Court. During this time, Mary litigated numerous jury trials and handled appeals before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Mary has represented individuals before the North Carolina Medical Board, the North Carolina Board of Nursing, the North Carolina Board of Psychology, the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy, the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service and the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Mary has an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
