Background

Bob is Of Counsel to Young Moore and Henderson. His practice focuses primarily in medical malpractice defense, but Bob also handles complex litigation in administrative law before professional regulatory boards, liability insurance coverage disputes, products liability, contracts, employment law, and municipal corporations litigation.

Bob is the “go to” guy for medical professionals, having represented most hospitals in Eastern North Carolina and having defended healthcare professionals in almost every medical specialty. Bob has tried cases in most of the Superior Courts of North Carolina and the United States District Courts in North Carolina. He has appeared in the North Carolina Supreme Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit for more than 70 reported decisions, and he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Bob has an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Bob received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is an enthusiastic supporter of the UNC athletic programs. He is an avid power boater and fisherman. He is married, with two adult children.
