Background
Zack has spent the last decade defending employers and workers’ compensation carriers before the North Carolina Industrial Commission, North Carolina Court of Appeals and North Carolina Supreme Court. Working with the firm’s workers’ compensation team, Zack has extensive experience guiding his clients through the highly technical workers’ compensation system. Zack has particular experience handling claims involving Hispanic/Latino workers and understands the unique challenges and issues such claims often present.
While earning his law degree at Campbell University, Zack was selected to represent the school as a member of the trial advocacy team. His team reached the regional finals after defeating opponents who represented some of the top law schools in the nation. In addition to competing on the trial team, Zack was awarded the Calhoun Advocacy Award, which recognizes the top individual performer in Campbell University’s nationally recognized trial advocacy program.
Zack was a two-time letterman with the men’s tennis team at the University of North Carolina and was a member of the 1992 ACC Championship team. He is still an avid supporter of all UNC athletics. In his spare time, Zack enjoys running and spending time with his wife, Courtney, and his children, Emily and Lauren.
