Dana H. Davis

Dana H. Davis joined the firm in 1990 after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was the recipient of numerous awards including an American Jurisprudence Award. She was voted a shareholder in 1996. As a litigation team member, her practice has evolved from the defense of automobile cases for insurance companies to complex defense litigation of professional malpractice actions, including medical and nursing home clients, trucking litigation, and electric cooperative liability. Her clients include national/regional corporations such as Schneider National, Inc., Southeastern Freight Lines and Autumn Corporation, as well as insurance companies such as Great American Insurance Company, Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina, and Progressive Insurance Company.

Dana's practice requires frequent appearances in court at the trial and appellate levels. She has tried cases in more than twelve counties and argued motions in approximately half of the counties and federal districts in North Carolina. In addition to appearances at the Superior Court level, she has appeared before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and has handled appellate matters before the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Dana has been accepted for membership in TIDA and the Electric Cooperative Bar Association and regularly attends their annual meetings.

Dana was an advisor and contributing author to the American Inns of Court Series on North Carolina Civil Procedure published by the West Group. In addition to serving as moderator and lecturer at numerous seminars, she has served on the steering committee of two national and/or international programs focusing on law and technology.
