Robert C. deRosset

Robert deRosset joined Young Moore and Henderson in April 2001 and is a shareholder in the firm. Prior to joining Young Moore and Henderson, Robert practiced law for two years in Columbia, South Carolina and served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in León, Nicaragua. Robert tries cases in the Superior Court throughout North Carolina and in each of North Carolina's three federal district courts. He practices in the field of civil litigation with a special emphasis on product liability, trucking and transportation law and business litigation. He is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina.

Robert is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct mediated settlement conferences in Superior Court cases. Robert is available for mediations in most counties.

Robert received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was an Articles and Notes Editor for the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal while a student at the University of South Carolina School of Law. Through his experience in Nicaragua, Robert became fluent in written and spoken Spanish, and has been able to use his language skills to better serve clients of Young Moore and Henderson.
