Angela N. Farag
Angela Farag joined Young Moore and Henderson as an associate in 2004 after receiving her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While at UNC, Angela served as a member of the Executive Board of the Holderness Moot Court Bench, a member of the Environmental Negotiation Team, and was a semi-finalist in the 2004 Robert R. Merhige, Jr. National Environmental Negotiation Competition. Before attending law school, she received degrees in Public Policy Analysis and Political Science also at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she focused her study on the relationship between public policy and governmental organizations.
Angela now practices with the firm's workers' compensation team, and at every opportunity attempts to draw from her background to incorporate creative and practical approaches to meeting her clients' needs and arguing on their behalf with an eye toward achieving the most feasible and effective outcome for each situation. In this capacity, Angela handles all types of workers' compensation claims and represents employers and insurance companies through all stages of litigation before the North Carolina Industrial Commission and North Carolina Appellate Courts. She also assists with more complex workers' compensation matters raising coverage, cross-jurisdictional and choice of law issues.
Angela is a member of the Workers' Compensation Sections of the Defense Research Institute and North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers' Division of the Wake County Bar Association. In her spare time she is a passionate Tar Heel fan, a country music enthusiast, and enjoys songwriting, guitar, and surfing on her longboard along the North Carolina coast.
