Timothy W. Jones
After receiving his law degree from Duke University, Tim Jones practiced law for five years before joining Young Moore and Henderson, P.A. in January, 2006. Tim practices in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts, guardianship and business planning.
As a member of the firm's estate planning and probate team, Tim enjoys working with clients to tailor estate plans both to meet the clients' goals for the disposition of assets and to reduce estate and gift taxes.
Tim spent two years in charge of the Estates Division of the Wake County Clerk of Superior Court. Tim's experience in the Clerk's office gives him unique insight into the administration of estates, guardianships and trusts.
Tim assists business clients with various issues from formation to dissolution, including choice of entity, shareholder agreements, leases and other third party agreements, and the acquisition and sale of assets and ownership interests.
Immediately prior to joining the firm, Tim served as an Assistant Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice.
Tim and his wife, Lori, live in Clayton, NC.
