Born in Santa Clara, California, Mr. Linder attended secondary school in Scottsdale, Arizona. After he enjoyed his undergraduate years on the beach in Santa Barbara, he studied law in North Carolina, where he became an adopted son of the Tar Heel State.

An Honors graduate from the University of North Carolina School of Law, Mr. Linder was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1995. Mr. Linder concentrates his practice in employment and workers' compensation litigation, appearing on behalf of employers in North Carolina State and Federal Courts and before the North Carolina Industrial Commission, Department of Labor and other State administrative agencies. The defining principle of his practice is to provide a full range of legal services seeking to achieve the most satisfactory results possible in the most efficient manner available.

In his spare time, Mr. Linder is a passionate golfer, avid reader of historical novels and an enthusiastic Tar Heel sports fan. He and his wife, Kathleen, reside in Raleigh.
